Brakes are the one thing on your car you never want to put off. If yours are squealing, grinding, or the pedal feels different, book a check before a cheap fix turns into an expensive one.
Signs your brakes need attention
Your car usually warns you before brakes become dangerous. Watch for:
- Squealing or screeching when you brake, often the wear indicator telling you pads are low
- Grinding, which usually means the pads are gone and metal is on metal
- A vibration or pulsing through the pedal or steering when braking
- Longer stopping distances or a pedal that feels soft or spongy
- The car pulling to one side as you brake
- A brake warning light on the dash
If any of these sound familiar, don't wait. We'll check the pads, rotors, calipers and fluid and tell you exactly what's going on.
What we repair
Our van carries the parts and tools to handle the whole braking system on site.
- Brake pads — the most common job. We replace worn pads with quality parts to suit your car.
- Rotors (discs) — machined or replaced when they're worn, scored or warped.
- Calipers — checked and repaired or replaced if they're sticking or leaking.
- Brake fluid — flushed and replaced when it's old or has absorbed moisture, which affects stopping power.
We check the full system, not only the part you noticed, so you leave with brakes that work as they should.
Do I need pads, rotors, or both?
Pads wear faster than rotors, so plenty of jobs are pads only. But rotors wear too, and running pads down to metal often damages them. If your rotors are within spec they can sometimes be machined; if they're too worn or warped, they're replaced. We measure them and show you where they're at before recommending anything, so you're not paying for parts you don't need.
Brake fluid matters too
Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, which lowers its boiling point and makes the pedal feel soft. Most manufacturers recommend replacing it every 2 years or so. We check its condition at every brake job and flush it when it's due.
Same-day brake repairs
Because we carry common pads and parts, many brake repairs are done the same day you call. If your brakes have suddenly got worse, tell us when you book and we'll prioritise it. For anything unsafe to drive, we come to you rather than risk you driving on it.
What does a brake repair cost?
It depends on your car and what needs doing, a pad replacement costs less than pads and rotors together. We check the system, show you what's worn, and give you a fixed price before we start. Guide pricing from $180; ask for a quote for your model.

We come to you, which matters most when brakes are the problem and you'd rather not drive far.
