John started Mobile Mechanic Brisbane in 2015 after more than a decade under the bonnet in Brisbane workshops and dealerships. The idea was simple: give people honest, quality mechanical work without the hassle of getting the car to a workshop and losing a day over it.
Who works on your car
Your car is worked on by John and our small team of qualified mechanics, each trade-qualified (Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology) with 10+ years on Brisbane cars. We also handle diesel, 4WD and auto electrical work, and as an accredited Approved Inspection Station we can issue safety certificates. We're fully insured, with public liability and motor trades cover, so you and your car are protected.

Why we do it this way
We started Mobile Mechanic Brisbane because the old way of servicing a car never really made sense. Book weeks ahead, drop the car before work, sort a lift home, then wait on a call that may or may not come. Most jobs don't need a workshop hoist, so we put the tools in the van and brought the workshop to the customer instead. You get the same quality work in your own driveway, a price agreed before we start, and a straight answer about what your car does and doesn't need.
What we won't do is upsell you work you don't need, or start a job you didn't agree to. If we find something, we stop and call you first. That's the whole point of doing it honestly.
